Hexadecanal, also known as palmitaldehyde, is a long-chain aldehyde containing 16 
carbon atoms. It use as an intermediate to synthesis hexanol and hexadecanoic acid.
 It is insoluble in water and soluble in DMF, DMSO, ethanol. It is hygroscopic.
